I should take the time to apologise to my younger self- If she was to take a look in my wardrobe, she would have an episode.

When I was younger, I had an issue with clothing. I could never bring myself to buy second hand, or to wear someone else’s clothes. To borrow one’s coat, even on a cold day, was a major no-no and costumes were certainly out of the question. The notion of wearing a piece of someone else, or even dressing up as another person or character, was distressing to me - It was as if I was allowing someone else to dress me and the thought was turning…

Although I still maintain a ‘No Costume, No Way’ mentality (more due to the fact that I am an utter spoil-sport), I’ve come to embrace second hand clothing more and more these past years thanks. With patience, I’ve managed to find utter gems hidden away on the railings of local second hand shops with my not-so-new mallard shirt being a fine example. 

I now I sit and wait for an apology from my future self, for not sharing her wonderful future finds with me sooner.
